Dr. Christian Martinez
Dr. Christian Martinez is the Market Director for South Texas Health System Clinics and brings over 30 years of healthcare experience in leadership, strategy, and community health initiatives. He holds a PhD and two master’s degrees, reflecting a strong commitment to academic excellence and lifelong learning. In addition to his role at South Texas Health System Clinics, Dr. Martinez serves as Board President and Chair of the nonprofit organization Unidos Contra la Diabetes, where he advocates for diabetes education, prevention, and improved outcomes across the region.
Dr. Martinez is also a professor at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where he is dedicated to educating and mentoring future healthcare professionals. Further extending his impact in education and workforce development, he serves as an advisory board member at South Texas College, South Texas Independent School District, and the College of Healthcare Professionals in the Rio Grande Valley.
Through his leadership, teaching, and community involvement, Dr. Martinez remains deeply committed to advancing healthcare access, quality, and education throughout South Texas.
