Ed Banos is the Executive Vice President Chief Operating Officer at University Health System in San Antonio for the past 9 years.   He earned his bachelor’s degree in Health Records Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s in Health Administration from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia. 

University Health is a  $3 billion enterprise comprising of a 1254 licensed bed hospital, an employed physician practice plan (University Medicine Associates) and an insurance plan (community first health plan) with over 150,000 members. Prior to UH, Ed has held positions as CEO at 2 For-profit hospitals and 1 not-for- profit health system in the United States.
